The Administrative Council for Terminal Attachments (ACTA) reminds suppliers of Telephone Terminal Equipment (TTE) of the obligation to comply with the requirements of Part 68 of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) rules (47 C.F.R. Part 68).

Effective November 1, 2011, the Administrative Council for Terminal Attachments (ACTA) announces that the Responsible Parties may now validate their RPC data for the 2012 calendar year. The established fee for RPC Data Validation is $125.00. A discounted rate of $95.00 will be in affect from November 1, 2011 through January 31, 2012. RPC Data is required to be validated on an annual basis.

Effective January 1, 2012 the Administrative Council for Terminal Attachment (ACTA) is adjusting its fee for processing Telephone Terminal Equipment (TTE) information submitted for inclusion in the centralized database of Part 68 equipment to $650.00 per submission. The adjusted fee applies to submission of Original, Modifications, Notice of Change, Recertification/re-declarations, and Request for Responsible Party Codes.

ACTA Update Provided to TCB Council Meeting Attendees: ACTA Chair Jim Haynes, Compliance Engineering Services, presented a review and update of ACTA and Part 68 before the April 2011 Telecommunications Certification Board (TCB) Council Workshop with a major emphasis on the newly instituted Responsible Party Code (RPC) Data Validation Program. ACTA Recommends FCC Increase Efforts to Enforce Part 68 Hearing Aid Compatibility Requirements February 22, 2011, Washington, DC - The Administrative Council for Terminal Attachments (ACTA) has recommended that the FCC tighten its enforcement of Part 68 non-compliance. Specifically, it urges the FCC to clarify that VoIP phones must meet the hearing aid compatibility and volume control rules in Part 68 of the FCC regulations and that these products be listed in the ACTA database of approved terminal equipment.
